Good 4 Kids – Cooking and Fitness

By MommaHealth Leave a Comment

My daughter had the wonderful opportunity to be part of a local TV show called G4K (Good4Kids) that was filmed at Whole Foods Market in Schaumburg, Illinois and the Community Recreation Center (CRC) also in Schaumburg, Illinois.  Ready, set, action – real cameras and lighting made every minute a life experience!  She had a great time and we are so proud of her.

They made three different recipes:

  • Cinnamon Bread Rolls
  • Peanut Butter and Jelly Sushi
  • Peanut Butter and Chocolate Crescents

Right around 2 minutes she talked about American Girl Dolls – so funny…She’s the reason my husband wrote about them.  You can read the article here.  I would like to thank the Schaumbur Park District, Whole Foods Market in Schaumburg and Chef Tatiyana for such a fun time…  What a great idea to raise kids’ awareness of health and fitness!  I love the idea of helping young ones to think about what they eat and why; and to follow it up with excersise – perfect!

Chef Tatiyana from Whole Foods Market prepares cinnamon bread rolls, peanut butter and chocolate crescents, and peanut butter and jelly sushi with the kids. The kids work off their tasty treats during a spin class at Schaumburg Park District.
